EMILY AS A SONG FROM THE EMPTY PLACE
Existence
is
a rumor.
Emily
is
the rumor
of
the rumor’s
con-
firmation.
is
a rumor.
Emily
is
the rumor
of
the rumor’s
con-
firmation.
EMILY AS THE RUSTLING OF A WING
The flight is silent,
but I hear Emily
& it doesn’t matter
if she’s about to leave
or if she’s tucked
her wings to land
next to me. Either way
she is the rush of hope
that teases my hair.
